Editing workspace preferences

Editing Workspace Preferences

You can update your workspace details at any time from Workspace Settings. This is useful if your website information changes, you want to adjust ownership, or you need to manage or replace a workspace.


Access Workspace settings



To open workspace settings:


  1. Go to the bottom-left corner of the screen


  1. Click on Workspace Settings


From here, you can manage basic workspace details and ownership.


Update Workspace details



In Workspace Settings, you can edit the following:


  • Workspace icon – Upload or change the icon for your workspace
  • Workspace name – Update the name of your website or brand
  • Workspace URL – Change the website linked to this workspace
  • Workspace timezone – Update the timezone used for scheduling and publishing


These changes are saved directly to the workspace.


Transfer Workspace ownership


If your account has multiple team members (such as managers or owners), you can transfer workspace ownership.



To do this:


  1. Open Workspace Settings


  1. Select a team member from the Select new owner dropdown


  1. Click Transfer ownership


Once transferred, the selected user becomes the new workspace owner. You can also checkmark the option "Transfer the billing" if you want the billing prompts to be directed to the new owner email. Please note that, you can transfer the ownership only once in 30 days.


View Ownership transfer history



Workspace Settings also show the ownership transfer history for the workspace.


This helps you keep track of past ownership changes and maintain transparency across your team.


Delete a Workspace



If you no longer need a workspace, you can delete it from Workspace Settings.


  • Deleting a workspace removes it completely
  • You can create a new workspace again at any time


Use this option carefully, especially if the workspace contains active or published content.


Update Brand Voice & Content Preferences


Workspace Settings handle basic workspace details, but brand voice and content-related preferences are managed separately.


To update:


  • Business information
  • Target audience
  • Content strategy


Go to the Knowledge Panel in your dashboard and make changes there.



These updates help Contentpen generate content that better matches your brand.
